Four-time convicted felon shot a Wendy's drive-thru cashier because he had to wait too long to get his food

A Four-time convicted felon has been accused of shooting a Wendy's drive-thru cashier after allegedly becoming enraged over the wait for his food. The incident, which took place at a Wendy's location at 8740 South Lafayette, has left the community shaken and raised questions about public safety and the behavior of individuals with a history of criminal activity.


According to reports, 34-year-old Aaron Collins visited the fast-food restaurant around 1 a.m. on April 4, expecting to pick up a late-night meal. However, due to an unspecified delay in the fulfillment of his order, Collins allegedly became so enraged that he opened fire on the drive-thru window. As a result, a 20-year-old female cashier was injured, suffering a gunshot wound to her left upper arm.


The Chicago Police Department was able to apprehend Collins shortly after the incident. Upon searching his vehicle, the officers found a loaded pistol situated next to the driver's seat. Collins now faces charges of aggravated battery.
