Martin Shkreli, widely known as "Pharma Bro," has claimed that he and Barron Trump, the youngest son of former U.S. President Donald Trump, are behind the launch of the mysterious DJT crypto token. This assertion was made following a rally in the price of the meme coin, which surged by up to 180% on Monday, fueled by rumors of its purported link to Donald Trump.
Shkreli has stated that he has over 1,000 pieces of evidence to support his claim that he created the DJT token with Barron Trump. He reiterated this on a live X event, where he mentioned working with a team of 40 to 50 people, including Donald Trump's 18-year-old son, to launch the token.
However, the Trump campaign has not officially confirmed any involvement with the DJT token, and Donald Trump himself has not posted anything on his TruthSocial platform regarding the token. Additionally, Roger Stone, a long-time ally of Donald Trump, has denied that the former president or his son were involved in the DJT token.
The DJT token, which launched in April, saw a significant increase in its value, reaching a market cap of $383 million at one point. Despite the controversy and claims, the token has continued to attract attention and speculation in the crypto market.
