According to recent reports, the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua has allegedly given its members a “green light” to attack and target US law enforcement officers. This warning has been issued through official channels, including an officer safety bulletin from the Albuquerque New Mexico Police Department (APD) and a federal memo from the Homeland Security Investigations office in Chicago.

The gang, designated as a major transnational criminal organization by the US Treasury, has a significant presence in the United States, particularly in cities like Denver, New York, Chicago, and Miami. Its members have been involved in various criminal activities, including money laundering, gun smuggling, theft, and human trafficking.

Law enforcement agencies have been alerted to this development, and measures are likely being taken to ensure officer safety. The APD statement emphasizes the importance of sharing safety concerns between agencies, and the DPD (Denver Police Department) has confirmed monitoring and informing officers of potential threats.
