The things we think and do not say.
I visited my grandmother in a nursing home. She was surprised to see me.
It was a nice one.
I didn’t notice any books along her bedside table about how elderly single woman or widows were living in some paradise with their friends or hear how happy she was to be rid of a man in her life. See, the ‘girls’ are always going to be girls until after the hour of twilight has past and the illusions of popular commentary disappear and the reappear in other forms only after the living historians are no longer en vogue.
There are scenes in your life that are not real.
