The Matrix - movie

The Matrix is a science fiction action film released in 1999, directed by The Wachowski Brothers. The film stars Keanu Reeves as Neo, a computer hacker who discovers that his entire reality is a simulated world created by machines to distract and pacify humanity while their bodies are used as an energy source. Neo is contacted by a group of rebels, led by Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss), who believe that Neo is "The One", a chosen one who is prophesied to defeat the machines and free humanity from the Matrix.
