Suspect Identified as Mohamad Soliman in Boulder Attack Labeled as Targeted Terror Incident by the FBI

BOULDER, CO — On June 1, 2025, a violent incident disrupted a peaceful pro-Israel demonstration at the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, Colorado, leaving multiple individuals injured. Authorities have identified the suspect in custody as Mohamad Soliman, with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) classifying the event as a "targeted terror attack." According to Boulder Police Chief Steve Redfearn, officers responded to reports of a man "setting people on fire" with a weapon shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of 13th and Pearl Streets. Boulder’s Jewish Community issued a statement expressing heartbreak: "We are saddened and heartbroken to learn that an incendiary device was thrown at walkers at the Run for Their Lives walk on Pearl Street as they were raising awareness for the hostages still held in Gaza." Colorado Governor Jared Polis condemned the act, posting on social media that "hate-filled acts of any kind are unacceptable."
