Ceasefire is not an option for hostage takers
I do not believe all of the information I am seeing on the internet with regard to the war in Israel because so much of it conflicts with other info on other or even the same news outlets depending on what time of day you tune in. There are at least 2 different versions of the narrative.
The solutions driven opinions emanating from outside of the Middle East calling for a ceasefire miss the point that presumably, a hostage taker takes hostages to exchange them for something. ‘Let’s stop firing rockets back and forth and just give Israel the hostages back…’ In exchange for what? That does not make any sense.
Has Hamas made any specific demands or conditions under which they would release the hostages? ‘Ground invasion’ was tied to ‘American hostages’ who now have price tags attached to them.
What is the difference between an ‘American’ civilians allowed to leave and the ‘hostages’ that recent news reports claim are Israeli after suggesting that ‘less than 10 (which also includes zero) ‘American hostages’ are being held in Gaza.’ So in response, 74? ‘American civilians were allowed to leave Gaza - who only need to escape because Israel is firing rockets into Gaza in response to the attack on Israel on October 7th.
It is not an ‘American’ hostage situation as much as It is refugees seeking asylum after our ally Israel was attacked. Netanyahu isn’t rescuing these people, he is firing rockets into Gaza.
Semantics - Calling for a ceasefire in this situation is like telling someone, “you should sign up for AAA,” after they have have had car trouble and are stuck on the side of the road. It is not an option in the equation that relates to the current problem.
An American politician can call for a ‘ceasefire’ or not, but does Hamas do what the U.S. says? Netanyahu does not do what the U.S. says and he has stated this many times since the conflict started.
The protester/counter protester
Rockets are being fired back and forth and reportedly there have been more ‘Americans’ who left Gaza.
___________
Reports stated Israel jailed Palestinian workers in Israel who the story suggested were there legally working after the start of the war on October 7, 2023. Is this true? Reports today called those people terrorists? Then why were they released and sent back to Gaza.
The information that is piped into my internet stream cannot be true because so much of it conflicts reports even from the same network on the same day. This is the kind of misinformation and disinformation that does not help anyone.
