Overall, 67% of Americans and 71% of independents think Biden should step aside, with 85% of respondents stating that he is too old for a second term. Despite these sentiments, Biden and former President Donald Trump are currently tied at 46% in the polls among registered voters. If Vice President Kamala Harris were to replace Biden as the Democratic nominee, she would lead Trump by 49% to 47%, according to the same poll.
