  • 1957: Elvis Presley’s “All Shook Up” began an eight-week run at #1 on the US singles chart, becoming the biggest single of the year with over 2 million copies sold.

  • 1968: Deep Purple made their live debut in Tastrup, Denmark, under their new name, inspired by guitarist Ritchie Blackmore’s grandmother’s favorite song.
