Morning Joe Hosts React to Surprise Show Cut

According to Fox News, the show’s production team was told that all shows would run on a single NBC News feed, but instead, MSNBC programming started running on the network hours earlier.
Surprise Show Cut The “Morning Joe” team was shocked when they woke up to find their show had been seemingly singled out and replaced by NBC News special reporting and coverage simulcasting from NBC News Now. The show’s usual 6 a.m. time slot was instead filled with breaking news coverage of the assassination attempt.
Internal Discussions
An MSNBC insider reportedly said that the show’s production team was having “pretty heated conversations internally” about when the decision was made to switch from a single feed to two feeds. The insider added that “a lot of people are pissed off” and that Scarborough and Brzezinski would have demanded they go on air if they knew the one feed across platforms wasn’t the case.

The show is expected to return on Tuesday morning with updates from the Republican National Convention floor at Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum.
