TEMPE, Ariz. — (17GEN4 News) — May 15, 2026 — The family of a 22-year-old Arizona State University senior who was days away from graduating has made an urgent public appeal for information as the search for Ansh Arora enters its sixth day with no confirmed sightings or contact.

Arora, a supply chain management student originally from India, was last seen or heard from around 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in the Tempe/ASU area. He had planned to pick up his parents, who had traveled from India specifically to attend his graduation ceremony this week, at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. When he failed to arrive and stopped responding to messages, family and friends grew concerned and reported him missing to Tempe police just after midnight on May 10.

According to friends and family statements shared widely on social media (including Reddit’s r/ASU and local news outlets), Arora’s phone became unreachable shortly after his last known contact, and his WhatsApp account was later deactivated. He is described as a dedicated student in his final undergraduate year, excited about graduation and reuniting with his visiting family.

Physical description (from public missing person alerts):

  • Age: 22

  • Height/Weight: Not publicly detailed in initial releases (typical college-aged build)

  • Hair/Eyes: Dark hair and eyes (South Asian appearance)

  • Last known location: Tempe, near ASU campus

  • Vehicle: Not specified in public reports; authorities have not released additional details on transportation he may have been using.

Tempe Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau is leading the active investigation. Officers have attempted contact without success. As an adult, Arora did not initially meet criteria for entry into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) missing persons database, though the case is being treated seriously given the circumstances. No evidence of foul play has been publicly confirmed, but police continue to gather information.

How to help:

  • Anyone with information about Ansh Arora’s whereabouts is urged to contact Tempe Police immediately.

  • Tips can also be submitted to Tempe PD’s non-emergency line or through Crime Stoppers.

ASU has not issued an official university-wide statement beyond awareness of the police investigation, but the campus community — particularly in the supply chain management program — has mobilized through social media to spread awareness. Arora appears in ASU’s Spring 2026 commencement program as a candidate.

As of Friday, May 15, there have been no confirmed sightings, no updates on his location, and no indication he has been found. The family remains in Arizona, anxiously awaiting any news while authorities continue their search in the Tempe and greater Phoenix metro area.

This case has drawn significant attention locally due to the timing — just days before what should have been a celebratory graduation — and Arora’s status as an international student with family visiting from abroad. 17GEN4 News will provide further updates as soon as new information becomes available from Tempe PD or the family.

Anyone who may have seen Arora on or after May 9 in the Tempe area, particularly near campus, Mill Avenue, or routes toward Sky Harbor, is asked to come forward immediately.
