MicroStrategy buys $786M in Bitcoin

MicroStrategy, led by Michael Saylor, has purchased an additional 11,931 bitcoins for $786 million, bringing their total holdings to 226,331 bitcoins. The company raised $800 million through convertible notes to fund this acquisition, which was executed at an average price of $65,883 per bitcoin. As of the latest update, MicroStrategy's bitcoin holdings are valued at approximately $14.7 billion, acquired at an average cost of $36,798 per bitcoin. This move reflects MicroStrategy's ongoing strategy of investing heavily in bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset.
