As of January 1, 2025, a manhunt is underway in Wisconsin for convicted felon Virgil Thew, 47, following the discovery of two children and one adult found dead inside a home in New Lisbon, Juneau County. Thew, who is considered armed and dangerous, was last seen picking up one of the children who was later found dead. He has a history of numerous felony convictions, including possessing a gun as a felon, burglary, and theft. He is currently wanted by the Wisconsin Probation and Parole Office. Authorities are actively searching for him after the bodies were discovered on West Bridge Street following a report of missing children. The relationship between the victims and Thew, as well as the exact circumstances leading to their deaths, remain unclear.
