Laura Loomer and Milo Yiannopoulos are both well-known far-right political commentators and activists who rose in the mid-2010s conservative and “alt-right” adjacent media ecosystem. They were once allies who collaborated on campaigns and events, but they have been in a bitter public feud for years. Laura LoomerLaura Elizabeth Loomer (born May 21, 1993, in Tucson, Arizona) is an American far-right activist, conspiracy theorist, and internet personality of Jewish heritage. She graduated from Barry University with a degree in broadcast journalism and began her career with undercover videos for James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas. She later worked with or appeared on outlets including InfoWars and Rebel News.
She is a self-described “proud Islamophobe” who has made frequent anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant, and racially charged statements. She has been banned from numerous platforms over the years (Twitter/X, Uber, Lyft, PayPal, and others) for violating hate-speech or other policies; her X account was later reinstated after Elon Musk’s acquisition. She ran unsuccessfully for Congress in Florida in 2020 (winning the GOP primary with Trump’s endorsement but losing the general) and 2022.
In Donald Trump’s second term, Loomer has become an influential informal adviser and “loyalty enforcer.” She has taken credit for the firings or removals of multiple officials (a process sometimes called being “Loomered”), often by presenting research on their past statements or perceived disloyalty. She hosts the podcast Loomer Unleashed on Rumble and maintains a large following on X. In July 2026 she visited Ukraine, interviewed President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and publicly reversed her earlier skepticism of Ukraine and criticism of U.S. support, saying she had been misled by Russian propaganda.
She became engaged in 2025 to a non-political man she met on a plane; President Trump publicly referenced the engagement.
Milo YiannopoulosMilo Yiannopoulos (born Milo Hanrahan, 1984) is a British far-right provocateur, writer, and speaker of Greek-Irish descent. He gained prominence as a senior editor at Breitbart News (2014–2017) during the Gamergate controversy and through his “Dangerous Faggot” campus speaking tour, which mixed free-speech advocacy with inflammatory comments on feminism, Islam, transgender issues, and race. He was permanently banned from Twitter in 2016 (later reinstated).
His mainstream conservative career collapsed in 2017 after a video resurfaced in which he appeared to defend sexual relationships between adults and minors; he lost a book deal, speaking slots, and his Breitbart position. He later described himself as “ex-gay,” converted to a more traditional Catholic stance, interned for then-Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene in 2022, and served as chief of staff for Ye (Kanye West) during the rapper’s brief 2024 presidential bid. He has been associated with Nick Fuentes and other figures on the farther right.
Yiannopoulos entered the U.S. legally in 2019 but overstayed his visa. An immigration judge issued a removal order in July 2026 after he missed a hearing. On August 27–28, 2026, ICE detained him at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport; he was deported to the United Kingdom shortly afterward. He had previously advocated aggressive mass deportations.
Their relationship and feudThe two were close in the late 2010s. Yiannopoulos served as master of ceremonies at Loomer’s 2020 congressional primary victory party and was involved with her campaign. They moved in overlapping far-right circles that included Roger Stone and others.
The relationship soured around 2022–2024. Loomer accused Yiannopoulos of sabotaging her congressional bids, stalking her, doxxing her, and making threats (including toward her dog). Yiannopoulos publicly claimed Loomer had been involuntarily committed for mental-health issues and made other personal attacks. Loomer has denied the institutionalization claims and described him as a pathological liar, drug addict, and visa overstayer. She publicly called for his deportation for years, reported him to ICE and the FBI, and alleged he supported Hamas and Iran’s leadership while in the U.S. illegally.
When ICE detained him in late August 2026, Loomer immediately claimed credit, posting that he had been “Loomered.” She used the episode to attack Greene (who had employed him as an unpaid intern) and others she accused of “harboring” him. A DHS official later indicated multiple people had provided tips.
