An investigation has been launched into Kevin and Susan Cronin in connection with the disappearance of their son after disturbing trail of digital evidence uncovers mountain of fraud.
An associate of the family became concerned after a recent conversation with the two in question after asking how their son was doing.
The couple said he was 'doing fine.'
The associate asked, "When was the last time you saw him?" To which they responded, "Just the other day." Then, Susan started, "but he doesn't know..." before Kevin cut her off. The odd nature of the interaction raised alarm with the associate. "He doesn't know 'what' ?" the associate followed up. "When was the last time he saw you?" the associate asked. "Just the other day," Susan responded. "But he doesn't know....?" the associate asked. "When was the last time that he saw you? Let me ask it another way, when was the last time he thinks he saw you?"
The associate made an attempt to contact the son to see how he was doing but could not reach him. He followed up with several other known associates of the son and none of them had talked to him or heard from him in years.
He found a seemingly abandoned social media account he believed may be connected to the son documenting strange guests visiting him despite not having ever inviting anyone over to his place and odd conversations he believed to be linked to spoofed phone calls and text messages of both a personal nature as well as connected to financial accounts belonging to him.
He wrote about when a guy started talking to him at Ben Avery gun range in 2019-2020 who said he had a connection to Shooter's World and how he foolishly gave him his phone number.
Two people showed up who he believed to be his brother and sister in law who he believed owned the place where he was staying. His brother told him that they bought the place and that it had been sitting there empty.
The woman who he believed to be his sister in law told him that he was going to meet several people over the next few years or that they would be directed to him and that they were going to screw him over. She showed him pictures of people and names and he did eventually meet these people and they did screw him over. She told him that he would start smoking cigarettes and drinking again even though he quit doing both years ago and was in the best shape he had ever been in. She said to him, "Well, eventually you do and after years of nothing working for you, you eventually kill yourself." He laughed when he wrote about hearing this and said that he did not know his sister in law very well and that she had a very odd sense of humor that was not at all funny, but rather insulting. "You need to lock up your passwords because she is going to steal them and then she is going to lead them right to you."
"Who is she?"
Amy kept referring to herself in 3rd person. Amy was she, because it was not Amy that he was speaking with and he was not his brother, who he thought was with her. And then she mocked him when she told him to kill himself. She way acting the same way that she did when she showed up at the house in Bolingbrook a couple years before, also pretending to be Amy (and Joe) when they told him to take a pill and sign some papers and so he did. His wife at the time was coming into the house shortly after Joe and Amy left and insisted that she just saw his parents leave.
"What were your parents doing here?" she asked.
"My parents were not here," he said. "I would never let them in this house, you know that."
"I just saw them leave." she insisted.
"My brother and his girlfriend Amy were just here."
"I just saw your parents outside get into a car and drive away as I was driving up to the house." she insisted.
"Joe and Amy were just here. I would never let my parents into this house and you know that."

Back in Arizona, the whole reason that he agreed to go there is because nobody was there and then these two show up and they won't leave. They were not who they said they were and even though he was stone cold sober and completely awake, these two people who said they were his brother and sister in law who looked like his brother and sister in law but certainly were not acting like his brother and sister in law had somehow made their way int where he was staying by pretending to be them.
There were documented accounts of various psychological, chemical and other digital manipulation used on him that he could not explain other than someone had been in the place when he was not there, and even when he was there and he was clearly being monitored and manipulated.
He has had no contact with any members of his family, to his knowledge, other than who he believed to be his brother and sister in law. No contact with any other friends or family for the past 7 years.
__________
Was it really his sister in law who took pictures of his notebook with personal passwords and who was tracking his movements? He believed that to be unlikely. His brother and sister in law make a lot of money and have important jobs and it seems like they would have better things to do with their time than to screw with this guy after they had pretended to be offering to reach out and 'help' him after they had a hand in ruining his life the first time around.
His 'brother' did not seem to be too concerned that someone was impersonating him and his now wife.
__________
He wrote his parents off and told them that he never wanted to see them ever again 17 years ago as of this writing, The last time that he was forced to even be at the same place with them was at his brother's wedding at the Hyatt Lodge on the McDonald's Campus in Oak Brook, IL. He ate dinner and became overwhelmingly tired and went back to the room to sleep and missed most of the reception after party.
He tried to file a restraining order against his parents twice and he now believes that his attempted contacts with law enforcement by phone were not received by authorities, but rather were intercepted and rerouted like some of the other experiences he had after the fact when he realized that the people he thought he was speaking with were not the people who he was actually speaking with.
__________
He responded to an ad on CL looking for pool cleaners and met a guy at Kierland who went by the name Jon who said that he was the owner of a company named Premier and that he owned pool cleaning companies across several states. Jon said that he would pay him cash and that he would be following around one of his employees named Elizabeth on a pool cleaning route. He did this for about 3 weeks and Jon never paid him so that was the end of that.

__________
One time during a conversation with who he believed to be speaking with his brother and sister in law on the phone, they stated talking to him about dish soap for some reason. "How long does a container of dish soap last?" 'Amy' asked him. "I have no idea." he responded. "The one I have now seems to have lasted a long time so far." She started mocking him. They were not staying there at the time, to his knowledge, but she was basically letting him know that someone was going into the place when he was not there and refilling the dish soap that he kept on top of the sink and then decided to bring that to his attention in this way.
One time 'Amy' and 'Joe' said they were leaving town and he offered to drop them off at the airport. They said they would call a rideshare. He said, "Just let me take you." So they did and then they never left the spot where he dropped them off and called up a rideshare to pick them up and went to stay somewhere else in the area and continued to stalk him. And then later, told him this.
They told him about all of the times that his ex-wife had cheated on him and that they knew that he was going to get divorced before he did and that eveybody knew that she was cheating on him and nobody told him. His parents, his family, his friends. Everybody knew and nobody told him. Then she went on to tell him that even though he moved out of the state and didn't tell anyone except for his brother where he was going, that they made sure to tell all of the people who had a hand in ruing his life the first time where he was so they could all show up and do it all over again. This was in addition to all of the people 'she' (Amy, who kept referring to herself in the 3rd person as 'Amy' - who he eventually realized was acting exactly like his mother) told him that he was going to meet that he did not know who were also going to screw him over and just treat him like shit and make him miserable until he kills himself. His mother had done something similar to this to her own brother who died under mysterious circumstances after she made up a bunch of lies about him and drove him out of the state.
__________
When he moved to Arizona and his asshole 'brother and sister in law' (who he now believes to have been his parents) showed up. The first thing that he said to them when they asked him what he likes about Arizona was, "I don't know anybody here, so I don't have any enemies." His 'sister in law' said, "Oh, you will. Just wait."
__________
Now you are going to pay.
