HOUSTON, TX - The NRG Center is set to transform into a hub of the bizarre and the beautiful as the World Oddities Expo (WOE) arrives in Houston on February 8, 2025. This inaugural event promises a day where the weird thrives, celebrating all things odd and unusual in a spectacle that's anything but ordinary.

The expo, a traveling festival known for its all-inclusive approach to oddities, brings together a curated collection of artists, vendors, performers, educators, and guest speakers in a macabre and magical setting. From taxidermy and preserved insects to macabre art and odd jewelry, attendees will dive into the "Lost Curio Marketplace," a treasure trove of peculiar pleasures.

One of the highlights is the Oddity Ink Parlour, where Villain Arts sponsors on-site tattoo artists, allowing visitors to commemorate their experience with permanent ink. The WOE Labs offer hands-on workshops, including a Rat Taxidermy Lab where participants can learn to create their own rat skin rugs, and a Diorama Terrarium Workshop for crafting miniature worlds filled with the strange and beautiful.

For those intrigued by the more scientific side of oddities, "The De•Formed Exhibit" presents ethically sourced, naturally occurring animal anomalies, merging science with the macabre to create an educational yet eerie experience.

Workshops like Owl Pellet Dissection offer a unique learning opportunity, where attendees can explore the remnants of an owl's meal, revealing bones, fur, and feathers in a hands-on science project.

Tickets for this family-friendly event are structured to cater to various interests, with VIP options providing early access to beat the crowds. General admission is priced at $20, with children 12 and under entering for free. VIP tickets, at $25, offer an additional hour of exploration before the general public.

The expo isn't just about shopping or learning; it's a cultural phenomenon that celebrates diversity in art, science, and personal expression. Whether you're a seasoned collector of the strange, a curious first-timer, or someone looking to expand their creative horizons, the World Oddities Expo in Houston is where you'll find your tribe.

As the event approaches, the excitement on social platforms like X is palpable, with users sharing their anticipation for this unique gathering that embraces the weird in all its forms.
