PHOENIX, AZ — Four men were apprehended by Phoenix police on Monday, May 26, 2025, in connection with the theft of two semi-trucks loaded with energy drinks from a warehouse in the city’s west side. The arrests followed a swift response by law enforcement after a security officer reported suspicious activity at Rush Truck Park near 32nd Avenue and Broadway Road.

According to court documents, the suspects, identified as Ranjit Singh Sandhu, 43, Neeraj Malik, 30, Sahil Sahil, 21, and Robin Ran Singh, 21, all from California, were caught attempting to leave the yard with the stolen trucks. The gold semi-truck was carrying $50,000 worth of Red Bull energy drinks, while the red truck contained $50,000 worth of Rockstar energy drinks. A Rush Truck Park employee confirmed no pickups were scheduled, prompting a 911 call when a gold tractor-trailer, recognized from a prior theft, was spotted on the premises.

Phoenix Police responded around 2:15 p.m., intercepting the trucks as they departed. One vehicle was stopped on Interstate 10 near Avondale Boulevard, and the other near 35th Avenue and Buckeye Road. “One of the stops took place on the I-10 and Avondale Blvd. where officers took the suspect into custody,” said Phoenix Police Sgt. Brian Bower. “The other truck was stopped in the area of 35th Avenue and Buckeye Road, and the driver for the truck was also taken into custody.”

Investigators linked the suspects to a similar heist the previous day, Sunday, May 25, involving three trailers loaded with Samsung TVs valued at over $3 million. Surveillance footage from both incidents showed suspects wearing distinctive shoes and using trucks with identical plates, strengthening the connection. The trucks were marked with “MTL Trucking,” though one suspect’s claim of employment with the company remains under investigation.

All four suspects, who required a Hindi interpreter, were booked into Maricopa County Jail on one count of third-degree burglary. They denied involvement in the thefts. The Phoenix Police Department’s property detectives have taken over the ongoing investigation, with potential additional charges pending.

The incident briefly closed westbound I-10 near Avondale Boulevard for approximately 20 minutes, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation, causing minor traffic disruptions.
