Elon Musk suggests that he had access to the un-redacted, unreleased Epstein Files.
He probably also knows who is guilty of the Swatting incidents targeting Tesla customers and right-wing social media influencers who he all but ignores on his X platform.
Power without responsibility is tyranny. That is what Elon Musk represents to some people.
Elon Musk may be a genius, but the number of things he is wrong about is enormous.
"Have a nice day, DJT!”
Elon Musk Accuses Trump of Epstein Files Cover-Up in Explosive Public Feud
Washington, D.C. — June 5, 2025
Tech billionaire Elon Musk unleashed a stunning accusation against President Donald Trump on Thursday, claiming the president’s name appears in unreleased government documents tied to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The bombshell allegation, posted on Musk’s social media platform X, marks a new low in the rapidly deteriorating relationship between two of America’s most polarizing figures.
“Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!” Musk wrote, following up with, “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.” The posts, which offered no evidence to substantiate the claim, sent shockwaves across social media and ignited a firestorm of speculation.
Musk has made many claims that are not true with regard to pending indictments and authenticity of information related to DOGE.
The accusation comes amid a public feud that has seen the former allies trade increasingly personal insults. Earlier Thursday, Trump expressed disappointment in Musk, suggesting the Tesla CEO was bitter over the administration’s decision to cut electric vehicle subsidies, a move that could impact Musk’s business empire. “Elon knew the inner workings of this bill better than almost anybody sitting here,” Trump told reporters at the White House, referring to his signature “Big, Beautiful Bill” on tax and spending. “I’m very disappointed in Elon.”
Trump further escalated tensions by threatening to terminate billions in federal contracts and subsidies for Musk’s companies, including Tesla and SpaceX. “The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts,” Trump posted on Truth Social, adding that he was “surprised” the Biden administration hadn’t done so.
Musk, who recently stepped down from his role at the Department of Government Efficiency after 129 days, fired back with defiance. “This just gets better and better,” he taunted on X. “Go ahead, make my day.” But it was his Epstein files claim that pushed the feud into uncharted territory, drawing attention to long-standing speculation about the unreleased documents.
The Epstein files, a collection of court records, flight logs, and sealed documents related to Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged sex trafficking network, have been a subject of intense public interest. Partial releases, including flight logs from January 2025 showing Trump as a passenger on Epstein’s private jet seven times in the 1990s, have fueled debate, though no evidence has linked Trump to Epstein’s criminal activities. Trump has long distanced himself from Epstein, claiming a falling out over a real estate dispute and denying any wrongdoing. In January 2024, he posted on Truth Social, “I was never on Epstein’s Plane, or at his ‘stupid island.’”
Musk’s own ties to Epstein have also come under scrutiny. In 2018, Epstein claimed to have advised Musk, a claim Musk denied at the time. A 2014 photograph of Musk with Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s associate and a convicted facilitator of his trafficking ring, resurfaced Thursday, adding fuel to the controversy.
The fallout was immediate. Tesla’s stock plummeted over 16%, marking its worst drop since March 2020, while Trump Media & Technology Group fell more than 7%. Social media erupted, with reactions ranging from shock to skepticism. Crypto analyst Benjamin Cowen tweeted, “1) What,” capturing the stunned sentiment, while others shared memes and conspiracy theories. Representative Dan Goldman (D-NY) seized on Musk’s claim, writing on X, “I called for the full release of the Epstein Files a month ago because of my suspicion that Attorney General Pam Bondi was concealing the files to protect Donald Trump. Now my suspicion has been confirmed.”
Neither the White House nor Trump’s campaign immediately responded to Musk’s allegation. As the feud spirals, analysts warn of broader implications for Trump’s administration and Musk’s business ventures, which rely heavily on government contracts. The clash also raises questions about the Epstein files’ contents and why portions remain sealed, keeping public speculation alive.
“This is a feud between two titans with massive influence,” said political analyst Laura Hensley. “Musk’s claim, whether substantiated or not, ensures this story won’t fade anytime soon.” With both men doubling down, the public awaits Trump’s next move—and whether Musk’s “big bomb” will detonate further revelations.
