Biden confirms 'unverified' audio of 'alleged' Hamas operatives - hospital strike elevates conflict

Updated: Oct 20, 2023

“Based on what I’ve seen, it appears it was done by the other team, and not you,” Biden said.

We know what he means, we think. But what do they think he means?

Biden could have been more specific, using names, instead of saying 'the other team' and "you," relative to announcing $100 million in aid to Gaza. Depending on who is viewing this, "the other team" and "you" has the opposite meaning. Even verified audio can be misused and taken out of context and this is unverified audio according to the source article below.

At the same time, Biden added, “there’s a lot of people out there who are not sure. So we’ve gotta overcome a lot of things.” Later Wednesday, Biden appeared to be asked by a loud group of reporters what information he used to make his assessment about the source of the Gaza hospital blast. He responded: “Data I was shown by my Defense Department.”

Washington Examiner - IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said on Wednesday that Hamas knew the strike came from Gaza but sought to capitalize on the immediate outrage of a hospital getting hit and the significant casualty count, though he said it inflated it.

No Israeli strike — either by air, land, or sea — occurred near al Ahli Arab Hospital at the time of the deadly explosion, Hagari noted

Hamas made the initial claim of an Israeli airstrike on the hospital in Gaza. Israel initially could not confirm that it didn't come from them. Israel later speculated that the explosion was caused by a misfire coming from Palestinian Islamic Jihad. 'Unverified' audio of 'alleged' Hamas operatives provided by IDF was then authenticated by the United States by way of Joe Biden's Defense Department.?

Ahli Arab, Al-Ma'amadani. The 'unverified audio' gives no context to who 'we' and 'they' are and edits (censors) the only reference to names revealed during the conversation. (link to source below)

By itself, this unverified 1 minute audio clip proves nothing. There is a separate video that, by itself, proves nothing.

Israel has largely held off on allowing humanitarian aid into Gaza, as it seeks to pressure Hamas to release hostages first according to The Times of Israel.
